Frequently asked questions
Q: How much will it cost?

A: As each visit is individually tailored to suit the student, please contact us to discuss your needs and the time available. We can then quote you. (But, just to give you an idea, we could plan a long weekend course for around £500.)

Q: I'm a beginner; is a course with you a good idea?

A: No, we don't think it's cost-effective. We think you need to be at an Intermediate level to derive the full benefit of our approach.

Q: Can I start on any day of the week?

A: Yes, you can.

Q: How do I get to Cambridge?

A: The nearest international airport is London Stansted (45 kilometres).
Others are London Luton (60 kilometres), London City (90 kilometres), London Heathrow (115 kilometres) or London Gatwick (150 kilometres).
The Eurostar train service coming from Northern France into London St. Pancras International can be a very convenient option. A 5-minute walk takes you to London King's Cross Station with frequent trains to Cambridge (approx 50 minutes duration).
We can help you arrange transport by train, bus or taxi - or we can collect you (for an extra charge).

Q: Can I bring my partner with me?

A: No problem – there will be an extra charge. Please talk to us about it.

Q: Can you cater for my special dietary requirements?

A: We will do our best. Please check with us before booking.

Q: I really want to develop the specialist language of my industry/sector. Can you help me?

A: Yes, we can. We usually find that students know much of the vocabulary and just need help linking it together.

Q: Is it possible to combine the course with some business in England?

A: Certainly. We can help prepare you to visit companies, trade shows or other events, as appropriate.

Q: I have a special presentation to make, report to write, etc. – can you help me?

A: Yes, definitely. This sort of help is frequently requested and, of course, all work-related matters are discussed in the strictest confidence.

Q: I am already in Cambridge - do you offer lessons only?

A: Yes we do. See the 'Lessons only' page and contact us to find out more.
